Owners' Union Formally Established — Founding Meeting Minutes

At a meeting held at the United Sports Bar, Aqua Tropical Resort on 26 June 2026, owners unanimously voted to form the Aqua Palms Owners' Union and approved an initial Board.

The meeting was chaired by David Moores (Acting Chair) and attended by owners representing units across Blocks A, B, C, E and F. Three formal resolutions were passed by unanimous vote.

Resolutions Passed

  1. 1The Owners' Union was formally approved by unanimous vote of those present.
  2. 2David Moores was unanimously approved as Interim Chair and Treasurer.
  3. 3The initial Board was approved as David Moores, Barbara Chavez, Katrina Garman, Sharon Asquith and Darren Faulkner.

The meeting agreed in principle that Board members should:

  • Act in the interests of all owners
  • Have no conflicts of interest
  • Be in good standing as owners
  • Support the safety, integrity and proper management of the development

These principles are intended to protect the credibility, independence and effectiveness of the Owners' Union.
